Sophomore Class Administrative Assistant
31st August 2021
Position assessment: As Sophomore Class Administrative Assistant, I have done most of the paperwork for everything that we have done as well most of the planning for the event with Kylee. Registration and Club Rush had the officers do a procedure form, which was not that hard. On the contrary, we didn’t have the best performance for Registration, but we learned a great deal from it. We ordered a PO for $80 worth of decorations that we used for Club Rush and for the rest of the year. That PO really helped us out during Club Rush because it looked really nice and well put together. I also did a PO for the class T-shirts, which was 86 shirts, give or take 5.
Standing Committee: I did not participate in any standing committees this month.
Special Committee: Set up crew for the dance on the 18th; helping out with balloon arch people and setting up fences. Setting up for Registration and Club Rush.
Mentorship Evaluation/Completion at time of Meeting - I helped Nathan Gaines with; fundamentals of leadership (journal + website + homework), how to time manage, help with paperwork, and help during Registration and Club Rush.
Concerns that you would like addressed - Some people in the class aren’t taking full use of the time and some freshmen aren’t really doing their job and putting most of the work on Claire.
Positive comment – Someone I would like to shout out is Avery. She has been putting so much work on the BSTD and even though it got rescheduled, she is putting so much effort in and out of school.
One change that you would like to see. - Mix seating more than just partners and officers; it will encourage more interaction and help the class overall.
My Impact - I have impacted the school this year by helping out anyone I can in any class and promoting events as best I can disregarding social media.

Sophomore Class Administrative Assistant
ASB Formal Report September - October
Position assessment: In my position of Sophomore Class Administrative Assistant, I have been in mostly Homecoming, with my other responsibilities being in the special committee section. In this position, I have completed the procedure forms for Homecoming, purchase orders, minutes, thank you cards, been to every single float and poster creation at Ava B.’s house, and assisted in brainstorming for the concepts for the Homecoming portions. As of 10/9/21, I am working on the procedure form and everything to go with it for Winter Formal, brainstorming ideas for the event, and planning and organizing each component of the dance to make sure it is as close to perfection as possible.
Standing Committee: I have been in no Standing Committees in this period.
Special Committee: Three main Special Committees I was in were for the dance, coronation, and powder puff. In the dance setup, I was there for fencing, as well as general set up and set down with the rest of the class. For Coronation, I was in charge of setting up before the rally to announce the students on court and help in general with the process. Lastly, in powder puff, I did the boxes to the candidates and the risers at halftime and dressed nicely for this.
Mentorship Evaluation/Completion at time of Meeting + Lunch - With my mentorship partner Nathan Gaines, we have done a decent amount of teaching as well as bonding in and out of the class. I have taught him periodically throughout Homecoming some small tips and we bonded during a lunch at Pizza Plus in the middle of September. I have enjoyed being his mentor in this mentorship program but we obviously don’t agree on everything, which leads to funny moments of arguing. Overall, he is a great kid and I want to keep being his mentor if he decides to pursue this program next year.
Concerns that you would like addressed (cannot leave this section blank!): One main concern that I have for leadership is the overall management of homework/activities for the class. Obviously, Homecoming, Winter Formal, and the such aren’t going to change but only having 3 days for the thank you cards didn’t allow me to fully get in detail with the praises and they weren’t the best quality with homework from every period on those 3 days. If the due date is extended, sure there will be procrastination from people in the class, but it allows for more effort and quality from the praises and so on for other assignments. In contrast to what I am saying, 90-95% of the assignments give us plenty of time to prepare and complete, but I wanted to put more effort into those praises next year with more time because I really want to show my appreciation for my peers.
Positive comment – Someone I would like the shout out, although I have done it multiple times, is Kylee Brown. She has been doing so much for the sophomore class and dealing with a lot yet puts so much effort into what she does, and I really appreciate that. Even with having a concussion and not being able to move, she is constantly working on Winter Formal because she cares that much about the student body. She is essential to our class and I would have no idea what I would do without her.
One change that you would like to see: One change I would like to see would be that I see only a handful of Freshman doing all of the work, and some are slacking off. This might just be how I see things but people like Claire are doing all of the work and they need to divide the work up.
My Impact: The impact I have made in these months would be through helping my peers with concepts and putting on events. Obviously Homecoming was for the community and student body, but during these busy months I have been teaching several people Spanish and math when they were struggling. There is no reason why people should be struggling without resources, so I try my best to help anyone who cares about academics the best I can.

9 December 2021
Position assessment: In my position in November and December I have done a variety of things for Winter Formal, Warm and Fuzzy, and other leadership related jobs. I have done: all announcements, created the google form, did all of the transferring of names from google doc to spreadsheets/ordering it alphabetically/putting it by grade level, created the playlist for DJ Danny, got all teacher contacts with Pendelton and Kylee, got the Admin on duty with Kylee, got the facility forms for Winter Formal and Winterfest done ASAP, all cash box forms, dance procedure form, Winter Formal procedure form, all minutes for Winter Formal and Warm and Fuzzy week, and did the fundraising form for Winter Formal.
Standing Committee: I was in no standing committees during this period.
Special Committee: I was in no special committees during this period.
Mentorship Evaluation/Completion at time of Meeting - In the mentorship program over these past 2 months, I have been occupied with Formal work but I have still been in contact with Nathan and have helped him through it. I have helped him with the cover letter, bows for door decoration, been in a group with him for door decoration, and have helped him with his website. Although the mentors are changing as of the semester, I believe I did a great job at helping him with anything he needs and giving him leadership advice to be the best leader he can be.
Concerns that you would like addressed: I am frustrated with 2 officers for not doing their part; I contacted Abby on Monday and will talk to Morty if needed because Kylee and I are doing too much work and they aren’t doing their job descriptions without us telling them directly what to do instead of them taking action without our directive. There are also more matters to talk about regarding this, and it is honestly frustrating why they aren’t doing work; they see all the work we do and don’t ask if they can help or even ask to do any work unless we directly delegate it to them, and I’m not sure if they realize it or not but it is very apparent that they are doing anywhere near as much work as Kylee and I.
Positive comment – I would like to highlight Payton and Lucia for helping out during Winter Formal; Lucia covered for Katie’s ticket sale shift and was a massive help in Formal and going to be Winterfest and Payton has been a great help over these past weeks with Formal and I am very appreciative of them.
One change that you would like to see. One change I would like to see is a redistribution of events for the classes: although it is a good learning experience having formal, then warm/fuzzy, then finals, but the seniors don’t have much to do after they submitted their college applications and it would give us more effort into Formal although it was great.
My Impact: My impact on RHS over these past 2 months have consisted of: helping out all of my classmates in every period with work, concepts, or anything else. I have also been helping out someone outside of leadership with interview preparation, as well as being a positive influence on campus.

February 2, 2022
Position assessment: In my position as Sophomore Administrative Assistant, my main roles have been in Winterfest this semester, as our only main event. In my position, I dealt with the paperwork in the POs as well as having a minor part in the procedure form, as Devin wanted to take the lead in the procedure form this time around. I believe I stayed organized and consistent throughout the event; although we could have had better results, I believe what I produced personally was to the best of my ability.
Standing Committee: I have been in no standing committees at this time.
Special Committee: I have been in no special committees at this time.
Mentorship Evaluation/Completion at time of Meeting - During these past 1-1 1/2 months, the mentorship program hasn’t been as active as in other semesters. Since Nathan Gaines isn’t going to reapply for leadership, he has not asked me questions about leadership in general, but he has asked me about menial tasks like due dates and clarification on some assignments. I am proud of him for what we have gained from each other over the course of this year and I will miss him going into next year if I do get assigned a role in next year's leadership team.
Concerns that you would like addressed - A lack of consistency within some members of this class, outside and in my class. Some people aren’t putting in the work daily and are slowly getting lazy towards the end of the year, not including seniors.
Positive comment – Someone that I would like to highlight in this past month is Jenna S. She has been very consistent throughout Winterfest; showing up early to all of the set up, making time for us during preparation for it, and being very helpful throughout the process.
One change that you would like to see - One change that I would like to see would be at least a monthly bonding period where we can do games or activities to make the class closer and have fun during stressful times.
My Impact: The impact that I have made during this month would be through reminders, informing, and helping out my peers in my classes about Winterfest and everything to go with it. Surprisingly, people were very curious about the dress up days, what we were doing, and so on. They would always come to me to ask any questions and I would gladly tell them about it. Besides that, I have been helping select individuals with help on their homework on concepts inside and outside of the classroom, trying to be as helpful as possible.

ASB Meeting February and March
Position Assessment - In my position in February and March, I haven’t had any direct assignments to do and things to do with my class officers, but rather the main focus would be on the challenge with Naomi leading. The committee I am in this would be the DJ component with Mackenzie. There really hasn’t been too many problems with the DJ, besides finding him (Sounds and Motion were taken, contacted DJ Jerm and he was taken, finalized on DJ Danny). The copy has been sent to the board to approve and the payment is pretty much secured.
Standing Committee - I have been in no standing committees during this time.
Special Committee - As stated in the position assessment, I am in the challenge special committee for the DJ. Everything is going great and the specifics are listed above.
Mentorship Evaluation - During these two months, myself and Nathan have gotten a lot of time to bond and get closer to each other with track practice everyday. I am always talking to him or the other freshman and beating down your bodies together really makes it a great way to bond together. In addition, during some events such as the 4x100m relay, I am on a team with him and spending time after the workout/practice to work on handoffs and work with our other members is very fun. After the actual workout we can practice things such as block starts and I have great conversations with him while also improving with him our speed.
Concerns - The only real concern that I can think of right now is a little less messing off during work days, because it means we will have less time/days to do it in the future. Besides that, I believe we are doing a great job as a class and should continue the ways we are doing things.
Positive Comment - Someone that I want to shout out would be Mackenzie. She has been very busy with her classes, job, and all of the work she puts into leadership and what it has to offer is amazing. I can see her dedication to her class’s and her own goals and how she executes them is amazing.
Change - Same as the concern, I would like to see a little less messing around during work days for the people that are trying to actually work. Sometimes it gets a little bit loud and I have to put on music to focus.
Impact - My impact these past couple months I believe has been mainly through track. I have been helping out anyone I can that wants help with various different components of it such as block starts, handoffs, or acceleration. I spend a lot of time outside of the workout when it is time to work on yourself to help other people out because people like Sra. McPherson my freshman year really helped me out and changed my view on track for the better.

Formal ASB Report March-May
Position Assessment - In my position as sophomore administrative assistant, I haven’t had anything direct to it, but I have been doing a lot for the Challenge this year. I was with Mackenzie working on the DJ and I believe that as a team we did an excellent job at what we did. We were timely in all of our actions, got everything done efficiently, and worked well as a team. I am proud of our accomplishments and our efforts during this Challenge.
Standing Committee - I was in no standing committees over this period of time.
Special Committee - I was in the DJ committee as well as the teacher appreciation committee for the Challenge. My efforts were more centered in the DJ committee because it was just me and Mackenzie but I did contribute a fair amount in the teacher appreciation in brainstorming, organizing, and researching different ways to appreciate our teachers.
Mentorship Program - In these last few months, my mentorship work has been compiled up with track yet again. Our experiences, teaching lessons, and moments were mostly centered around the shared time we had suffering at track. It was an amazing year with Nathan Gaines, and I am proud of how much he has grown as a person and in his character.
Concerns - I am concerned about the same thing that we discussed in the Challenge debrief. Some people aren’t doing their work that are not seniors and are going to be in the program next year and that worries me a lot going forward with the lack of work ethic.
Positive Comment - I would like to shout out Mackenzie over these past months for all of the dedication and time she has put forward towards Prom and the Challenge. She really has put everything into this program and I really appreciate her in the class for what she will bring to the new students.
Change - I would like to see more people calling out others who aren’t doing their work by people in their group because it is completely unacceptable and should not be happening, especially at the end of the year.
My Impact - I have made an impact over these past few months through helping out everyone that I can. An example of this would be through the AP exam and the preparation for that. I created hours worth of review and freely shared it to other and helped tutor them because I want to see them succeed; after the exam looking back on this, I believe I really helped them all out.
